Barefoot Chef Catering is under the creative culinary leadership of Harry Black who has 40 years of experience in the food service industry.  He has a degree in both Food Service Management and Hospitality Management.

 

Before creating Barefoot Chef Catering, Harry Black worked for Ramada Hotels for over 15 years.  During this time, he served as General Manager of Ramada Hotels all over the Southeastern United States.  He spent over five years as a Regional Food and Beverage Director for Ramada, where he was responsible for the Food and Beverage Operations of twenty-two properties. 

 

Harry moved to Plant City, Florida in 1990, where he managed the Holiday Inn and Convention Center.   Here he catered events such as the Strawberry Festival Ball, Strawberry Festival Fashion Show Luncheons and Dinners, the Governor’s Luncheon at the Florida State Fairground, as well as Weddings and large Corporate and Government Events.  

 

In 1995, Harry opened Harry’s Place in downtown Plant City, a Dinner Club featuring Tableside Cooking and Live Entertainment. Here he continued to be one of the top caterers in the area.

 

Harry moved to Pinellas County in 2000, after accepting the position as General Manager of the Island Inn Beach Resort.   He is recognized both professionally and personally for his work with and in the community.
